January Favourites

At the start of the month, when everyone else seemed to be finding amazing deals in the sales, I decided to instead start using up the copious amount of beauty products I already had in my collection. Over the past few years, I have developed a fondness for buying lots of new products, but not for actually using them. Each product tends to get used a few times before I buy a replacement that I soon decide I love even more and therefore my previous products lie unloved and forgotten at the bottom of a drawer. Due to this reason, this months favourites are mostly made up of products that I have had in my collection for a long time, and I hope this is something that will occur in my future monthly favourites. After all, considering the size of my collection, I should have a lot of 'holy grail' items, that I have forgot about.

Blog Goals 2016

If you follow my blog you might have realised that over the past year I have really struggled with my blogging. My biggest issue has been finding a balance between blogging, working and my social life. Working 5 days a week means I only really have 2 days a week to myself, and as you can imagine I want to do more than just work on my blog. However at the same time, I've really come to miss my blog, so this year I am determined to get the balance right and improve on my blog. So in order to do this, I have decided to set some goals for 2016 and by sharing them with you all, I hope it will give me the extra motivation to reach them.

1. Improve on my blog photos One of my biggest issues with my blog is my photos. With some posts, I love them, and with others, I hate them. I recently bought my first DSLR, a Canon 700d, and over the next few months I hope to learn a lot more about my camera so that I can finally produce photos I am pleased with. This also means I need to start buying new props and backgrounds, so if anyone has any suggestions...

My 8 Favourite Makeup Brushes

I'm sure most people would agree with me that you need more than just the best makeup in order to get a perfect makeup look, you also need the perfect tools. Over the past few years I've been trying to expand my brush collection, and I have come to love a particular few of these brushes, so today I thought I would share these with you.

1. Makeup Pro Angled Brush Ok, so I'm going to start off with the brush that you can't actually buy online. I wasn't sure whether or not to include this brush, but I thought I would go ahead and do it. This is a very fine angled brush that I love to use for my eyebrows as I find it gives me very crisp lines. If you live in Northern Ireland then you can buy this brush from the Makeup Pro store which has three locations: Belfast, Derry and Newry. It only cost me around £4 so it's really cheap as well.

Review | Tropic Lipglaze Collection

If you have read my previous blog post you will know I have recently discovered the brand Tropic Skincare. After trying and loving their skincare products, I got a chance to try their makeup range when my aunt bought me the lip gloss collection and an eye-shadow quad for Christmas. Today I will be reviewing the lip gloss collection, which consists of three lip glosses: Pink Champagne, Raspberry Daiquiri and Tutti Frutti.
