Blogmas Day 8 | Favourite Christmas Songs

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I LOVE Christmas music. From the 1st of December on, it is pretty much all I listen to, and I get so excited when I am walking around the shopping centre, buying Christmas presents, with the Christmas tunes playing in the background. So today I thought I would share my five favourite songs with you all!

15. "Step in to Christmas" Elton John

14. "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)" Nat King Cole

Blogmas Day 6 | The Christmas Tag

I love doing tag posts, and I thought this would be perfect as it fits in perfectly with the Blogmas theme!

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
I actually covered this on Day 2 of Blogmas, so if you want to see my five favourite Christmas movies, read that here. But if I was to choose a favourite, it would without a doubt be White Christmas. I'm a huge fan of the old classics, and of musicals, so this movie just makes me so happy.

Blogmas Day 5 | Statement Necklace from Argento

So you may have noticed that I am 2 days behind on Blogmas. Because I had decided to do Blogmas so last minute, I haven't had a chance to schedule posts (work really does get in the way of blogging sometimes) so since I've not really been home these past two days I didn't have an opportunity to blog. So on two days over the next week I will be posting two blogs to get myself caught up. Now that that has been explained lets get into the post...

Blogmas Day 3 | Gift Guide for Her

Mini Lipstick Charms | Kate: The Kate Moss Book | Vogue: The Gown Book | Faux Fur Coat | Blue Mini Frame Bag | Chelsea Boots | Diana Camera

Blogmas Day 2 | Favourite Christmas Movies

In the approach to Christmas, I love curling up on the sofa, with a hot chocolate in hand, and a Christmas movie on the TV. So for today's post I thought I would tell you my 5 favourite Christmas movies. I know I said that today I would be talking about Argento jewellery, but silly me accidentally deleted the photos, so that post will have to be postponed for a few days. So on to the post...

Blogmas Day One: Happy 1st of December

Happy 1st of December! The year has flew in, and it's crazy to think we are only 25 days from Christmas. This year, I have decided to really challenge myself, and as a result I am taking part in Blogmas! For those of you who don't know, Blogmas is where you post every day from the December 1st to Christmas. I think a lot of people are planning on making all of the posts Christmas related, but I'm just going to be sticking to posting every day, while trying to make as many as possible Christmas related.

Mini Collective Haul

I've been doing a very good job at saving lately, but over the past few weeks I've bought myself to a couple of items. After all a girl has to treat herself every now and then right? The first item I bought was this Snake Print Dress from Mango, which is perfect as it can be dressed up for a night out or dressed down for the daytime. I bought this burgundy jumper from H&M. It's a very fine knitted jumper that is perfect for layering. I can't find it anywhere online but if I remember correctly it was £12 and it comes in a multiple of colours- I also own it in dark green.

Tag: Behind the Scenes

Wow it feels weird to be writing here again. It has been over a month now since I last posted, and while I was never intending to take a break, I'm glad I did as it has made me realise how much I really do love blogging. But enough of that, lets get into the post!

Review | Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss 107

For the past few months, every time I have taken part in a #bbloggers twitter chat, there was always one particular lipstick that was pretty much guaranteed to be brought up. It didn't matter if the topic was even related to makeup, there was almost always someone who would bring up the much loved Kate Moss 107 lipstick. At first I ignored the talk and kept it off my wish list as, despite being a makeup lover, I tend to avoid products that are too hyped up. However after the millionth recommendation and glowing review I finally gave in and bought it.

Spreading the Blogger Love: Blogs I Love

A few weeks ago I came home after a bad day at work, in a pretty crappy mood. My initial plan was to head straight to bed and read a book, but I decided to quickly check Twitter first. Within a couple of minutes I had a big smile on my face and my bad mood had disappeared. The reason? The amazing blogging community and, to be more specific, Aisling of Rosy Smiles who has just put up a 'Blogs I Love' post, which she had included my little blog. So today I will be doing my own post so that I can continue to spread the blogger love!

1.Rosy Smiles
As I have already mentioned, it was Aisling who inspired me to do this post, but that isn't the only reason I included her. I came across Aisling in a beauty chat on twitter and we got chatting over the fact we are both from Northern Ireland (it turns out we even have mutual friends!) and since then she has became one of the bloggers I would talk to the most! Rosy Smiles is a great blog, which has a mixture of beauty and lifestyle. Aisling has a little bit of an Illamasqua addiction, so when I finally get round to buying some of their products, this blog will be the first place I check for advice!

Review | Ciaté Paint Pot 'Pillow Fight'

It has been a while since I reviewed any nail polishes, so when I bought the Ciaté Mini Mani Advent Calendar from TK Maxx a few weeks ago, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to start them again. The first polish I tried is 'Pillow Fight' which Ciaté describe as a "Creamy delicate grey with the smallest hint of lilac". So how did I like it? Read on to find out...

Review | Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation

Despite Bourjois being a very popular drugstore brand, until 2 weeks ago I had never actually tried it. So when I was shopping for a new foundation that wouldn't break the bank (which unfortunately meant I couldn't repurchase my beloved Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet) I decided to give the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation a go.

Tennents Vital | Go Wolf, Bastille and The Killers

On the 21st August, with the Hunters and shorts at the ready, Ash and myself headed down to the Boucher Road Playing Fields for the first day of Tennents Vital. This is my second year attending Tennents Vital and I loved it just as much this year as I did last year. It was a great day which meant we where able to lie on the grass and relax without worrying about getting soaked.

Belsonic | Twin Atlantic, Biffy Clyro, Tom Odell & Kodaline

So as always I am a little late getting this post out, but a few weeks ago my friend Ash and I went to two days of Belsonic. Belsonic is a music festival held each year at Custom House Square Belfast and this years lineup was so good that we decided we had to attend two days!

The first night we attended was Sunday 17th where we saw Little Matador, Twin Atlantic and Biffy Clyro. Little Matador and Twin Atlantic were both really good, and I will definitely be listening to their music from now on! Unfortunately the weather didn't really like us that night and our rain coats came in very useful, though due to the wind I found it impossible to keep my hood up. So by the end of the night we resembled two drowned rats.

Biffy Clyro was the main act of the night and they were brilliant, and despite the fact I actually only know like three of their songs, I loved the entire set! There where a lot of Biffy fans there so there was a great atmosphere.

Review | Revlon Colorburst Crayon 'Audacious'

I first bought the Revlon Colorburst Crayon in Audacious back in the Spring but lost it after only one use. I finally got around to repurchasing a few weeks ago so I thought it was time I reviewed it for you all!

Audacious is a bright coral from the Matte Balm line. I love bright matte shades so I was very excited to try this out. When on the lips this shade is bright yet not too bold so it will still work well coming in to the Autumn and Winter months.

Video | My Current Skincare Routine

It has been 2 months since I last uploaded a youtube video, so I thought it was time I filmed another one. If anybody is interested in finding out what skincare products I use for my combination skin then watch the video below. If you like it then make sure to comment and subscribe!

Beauty Haul ft Tk Maxx and Boots

So a few days ago I shared recent clothing haul with you all, and afterwards I remembered that I have also bought a few beauty items over the past 2 weeks. Like with the clothing, I haven't bought a lot, but I still thought it would be fun to share what I have bought with you all, as I have picked up some exciting purchases.

Collective Haul feat New Look, H&M and Topshop

Over the past few weeks I have had a huge urge to shop and spend a lot of money (despite not actually having a lot of money). While I have managed to resist for the most part, I have treated myself to some new clothes, and since I never actually got around to sharing my London haul with you all, I thought I would instead do a quick collective haul.

London Trip Part 2

So I recently put up a post telling you all about day 1 of my trip to London with my sister (which you can read here), and today I will be telling you all about day 2. We spent the 2nd day of our trip being tourists so this is going to be a pretty picture heavy post! After a little bit of a lie-in (we were both exhausted) we got ourselves ready and then managed to figure out the tube system, which I have to say, didn't take a lot of figuring out, and was extremely handy.

Review: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray

As somebody with a very oily t-zone, I am constantly on the look out for products that will help keep my make-up in place throughout the day, and prevent me from resembling an oil rig. After trying out many different primers and powders I decided to give make-up setting sprays a go, and the Urban Decay setting sprays came straight to mind.

An Announcement and a Thank-You

Today I returned home from a long day at work to some great news... I"VE BEEN NOMINATED IN THE BLOG AWARDS IRELAND!

Yep, thats right. My little blog has made it onto the longlist for the 'Best Newcomer Blog' and 'Best Beauty Blog'. I am up against so many amazing blogs, so while I'm not expecting to make it any further in these awards, I am just so happy and proud to have been included. Here is the full long list, and I recommend that you go visit all of the amazing blogs! I can't wait to start looking through all of the blogs that I have not yet visited.

London Trip Part 1

Ok, so this post is WAY overdue, but I figured it was better late than never. I have quite a lot of photos from my trip to London, so I've decided to split this into three posts, one for each day I was there! So today's post will be about my first day in London, which was spent at IMATS and exploring Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

London IMATS 2014 Haul

Hello everyone, it's been a while! I feel like it has been forever since I last put up a blog post... lets just blame a combination of trips, weddings and pure laziness. But I am back, and I am returning with an overdue IMATS haul post! I had such a great time at IMATS, and I would love to go again next year!

Video | What's in my Travel Make-up and Skincare

Hello everyone. Today I put up my 2nd youtube video, where I share with you what make-up and skincare items I am bringing (well technically what I have brought) to London for IMATS. If you like the video make sure to subscribe and comment, and let me know if you have any requests!

I'm on Youtube?

So, as the title suggests... I'M NOW ON YOUTUBE.

Yep, thats right, I decided to put up a youtube video. I've been looking to do videos for a while now, but the camera I'm currently using for my blog doesn't have video, and my webcam on my macbook is terrible quality. So today when I was in town, I decided to part with some of my IMATS money and buy myself a new camera. I only got a Canon Powershot S2500, but it will do for now until I can get a DSLR (hopefully a few after I come back from London) at which time the quality will improve immensely.

London IMATS 2014 | Wishlist

As some of you may know, this weekend I will be attending the London IMATS with my sister Sarah-Anne. As I have already mentioned on numerous occasions, I am so excited, and I can't wait to look at all of the different brands and see what discounts are available. As I have already put up a post about the speakers I am looking to see (you can read that here) I thought I would share my wishlist with you all. My wishlist mostly consists of Crown Brush, OCC and NYX, however I have some money set aside for other brands as I know I will want to buy other products once I actually have a chance to look at them and swatch them.

#HaveYouDiscovered | Hair Products

I have to be honest: when it comes to hair products, I fail. No matter how hard I try to start a good hair care routine, it never works out, and while I may stick to it for a few weeks (normally after having my hair cut) I soon go back to rarely using anything. However if there is one product that I consistently use, it is the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls.

Happy Fathers Day

Sometimes I think Dads don't get enough recognition for the amazing jobs they do. Most people seem to make a much bigger deal of their Mums, and I know this is definitely the case in our family (ofcourse she totally deserves all of this attention). At Christmas, Mothers day and her birthday, my Mum gets a lot of money spend on her but when it comes to my Dad, his celebrations are always a lot more low-key. So I thought I would take this opportunity to write a quick post about how amazing my Dad is.

London IMATS: Speakers

So as you may know, I am due to attend the London IMATs on the 28th June (which is the Saturday). I've spent the past few days looking over the exhibitor list as well as the schedule for the speakers, as I want to listen to a few of them as I wish to expand my makeup and beauty knowledge. I've pretty much decided on all of the speakers I wish to see, though there are two who clash. As I have decided, I thought it would be fun to share who I wish to see with you all, as well as a quick description of what they will be speaking about.

Runway Trends (Pablo Rodriguez)
11.30am-12.30pm

#HaveYouDiscovered | Lip Products

This weeks topic for #HaveYouDiscovered is one that I have been looking forward to doing since the challenge began. As a lipstick obsessed girl, this was naturally my favourite topic, but when it actually came to choosing a product to talk about, I had no clue. I have so many favourite lip products that I could have talked about that I just didn't know which to actually choose. In the end, I decided on the Revlon Lip Butters.

Imats Tag

So this year I will be attending IMATS for the first time! All I can say is excited doesn't even begin to cover it. My family and friends are probably getting pretty sick of it because I NEVER shut up about it! So when I saw that Becky at Angels Secrets has done the IMATS tag, I knew I had to do it aswell.

1. Which IMATS are you attending?
I'm going to be attending the London IMATS and I'm going on the Saturday! I am so unbelievably excited, and can't wait to browse all of the stalls and listen to some talks!

Mini Avon Beauty Haul

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you might know by now that I am a huge fan of lipsticks, so since it had been a while since I had bought any, I decided to buy three new options that I thought would be great for summer. The first two are from the Ultra Colour Matte Lipstick and after a lot of deciding, I settled on the shades Matte Fuchsia and Matte Peach. Matte lipsticks are what I would normally gravitate to, so I have a feeling these two will be getting a lot of use over the summer!

End of an Era...

The very best friends a girl could ask for... Flashback to being freshers

Today is the day that my friends, and in a way myself, move out of the house that we have shared for the past 2 years while at University. Despite having actually moved out a year ago when my university adventure came to an end, I have spent most of spare time in Belfast, partying with my friends while they carried out their final year. Unfortunately, they have now finished, and all I can say is that this is the end of an era. I am in the middle of making a University years photo album, so I thought I would share some of the photos with you all. Quick warning... this is going to be a picture heavy post.

Review: Nkd Skn Dark Tinted Tan Liquid

As someone who hates being so pale I am always on the lookout for a new fake tan that won't make me look orange. Over the years I have found a few fake tans that I like but I am yet to find a holy-grail product. Also I am currently on a budget so I'm not exactly able to go spend £30 on a fake tan, so when I saw the new Nkd Skn range in Superdrug and noticed how cheap it was I decided to give it a try.

The Lip Product Addict Tag

I was recently tagged by Aisling from Rosy Smiles to do the Lip Product Addict Tag! I thought this would be a really fun tag since I am a self-confessed lipstick addict! So here goes...

1. Favourite balm/treatment?
For years my go-to balm was vaseline, but a year ago I finally discovered the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream and I have loved using it on my lips every night right before bed!

#HaveYouDiscovered | Eyeliner

We are now just over half way through the #HaveYouDiscovered challenge, and this weeks topic is eyeliners. Now I haven't wore eyeliner a lot recently, so I did have to go searching through my drawers to see if I even still owned these products, but luckily I still have my two favourite eyeliners (though they are so dried out they need to go into the bin). I tried to decide on a favourite between the two, but since they are both different types of eyeliner (one gel, one liquid) I figured it wouldn't be cheating if I showed you them both!

#LTADARESU: Healthy Living Challenge

Back in January I put up a post detailing my goals for the year, and one of these was to lead a healthier life. I wish I could turn around now and say that I have been succeeding in this, but unfortunately we are now almost 5 months in to the year, and I am more unhealthy than ever. So when Antoinette from Letters to Antoinette put up a post about healthy living, and a challenge she was starting, I knew I had to get involved!

Exciting Changes...

Today's post is an exciting announcement... if you look at the address bar you might notice something has changed. It is no longer '.blogspot.com'. Yes thats right, I now have a custom domain!

I have been thinking about buying a custom domain for quite some time now, but always put it off. Last night I decided to look into how much it would cost, and I was surprised by how cheap it actually was! I bought my domain from Godaddy.com and it only cost me £2.99 for my '.co.uk' address, which I'm sure you will all agree is a bargain!

360 Bar, Trafford Centre

When I was in England there was one place I knew I had to take a trip to... the Trafford Centre in Manchester. The Trafford Centre is one of my favourite shopping centres and I haven't been in a few years so the day before the wedding my Mum and I woke up early and caught the bus to the centre. After a few hours of shopping (keep an eye out for a haul) we thought it was time for a break. I had remembered seeing something about a champagne bar, so off I went in search of the champagne.

#HaveYouDiscovered | Brow Tools

When I saw the topic for this weeks 'Have You Discovered' I wasn't sure if I was going to do it, as I really don't have a favourite brow tool and I am constantly on the look out for new ways to make them look half decent. However since I have missed the last 2 topics, I decided that I would do it anyway. So instead of showing you my favourite brow tool, I am just going to show you all of the products I use to do my brows, as while I am not 100% happy with my brows, I still think everything I use does help to make them look better.

Jacquard and Pearls

Last week I was in England to attend my cousins wedding and I had told myself that if the weather was good, it would be the perfect opportunity to do my first OOTD post. So, when I woke up to find the sun shining, I made sure I was dressed with plenty of time to spare so that I could take the photos (OK... I got my sister to take them). Quite nerve wracking when I had my cousins and family watching me wondering what I was doing, but I got through it!

Review: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine 'Boheme'

When I bought my Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation (review here) I decided that despite being broke, I would treat myself to a new lipstick. Being in a rush however meant that I didn't have the time to browser through them all, so instead I asked for the counter girl's advice. Instantly she showed me a Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in Boheme and as soon as I swatched it I fell in love and decided I had to have it.

A Very Nosey Beauty Tag

I was recently tagged by Aisling @Rosy Smiles to do the Very Nosey Beauty Tag, which is a really fun tag all about one of my favourite topics- beauty!

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners and lip products or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
Easy... all of my palettes and eyeshadows. I don't wear eyeshadow all that often anymore but I wear lipstick pretty much every single day so I think if I was to lose them all I would cry. Not that I wouldn't get upset if I lost my palettes, especially as I have some that you can get any more, but I just wouldn't be quite as sad.

Current Favourites #004

It is crazy to think that the year is already 1/3 over. It doesn't seem like it has been 4 months since I saw in the new year! April has been a quiet month for me and I haven't really been all that adventurous with my beauty choices, so this is going to be quite a short favourites post, but as I really do love the following products (and tv program) I thought I would do it anyway!

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet
Ok, so if you follow me in twitter then this will probably not come as a surprise. I bought this foundation just after it came out and I haven't really shut up about it since. If I am going to be honest, I probably won't be shutting up about it any time in the near future either. I have recently posted a review on this so if you want to know more about it, read it here.

Review: Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation

When I heard that Chanel where releasing a new foundation, I knew I had to try it, especially as I was running out of my Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation. So last Sunday when I was in Belfast I went straight to the Chanel counter in Debenhams. I was even a good girl, and had it applied and then wore it while shopping to give me a better idea of if I would like it before buying it.

New Day, New Hair

So if anyone follows me on instagram (and if you don't, sort it out and follow me already!), then you might have seen the picture I posted a few days ago saying how much I loved the length of my hair. If you have seen it then you might be wondering why on earth I decided to get 4 inches cut off just 3 days later!
