My Current Loves... #003

It's hard to believe it is already the end of February... this month has gone so fast! It is now only 19 days until I turn 22, 63 days until I go to England for my cousins wedding, and 120 days until I go to London. I know that still seems like a long way away, but going off how fast these last 2 months have flew by, I'll be in London in no time! But enough of all of that... time to get on to the post!

Nails for Spring: Barry M 'Blue Moon'

One of the things I love about Spring, is being able to break out the bright and pastel nail polishes. Don't get me wrong, I like dark nail polishes, but after a few months of mostly wearing greys, dark reds, and dark greens I am officially over it.

So over the next few weeks, as I rediscover my love for Spring and Summer nails, I decided I would share my favourites with you! I'm not sure how many I will be posting about, as I won't be buying any new nail polishes (check my last post if you want to know why) so I will only be using old nail polishes and I'm not sure how many of them are still available!

Major Spending Ban

So as the title suggest... I am on a MAJOR spending ban. As in a no clothes, no makeup, say good-bye to my social life, spending ban. Basically, I have a lot to save for over the next few months, and lately my spending habits have been terrible. Despite the fact I have been working a lot, my bank balance doesn't seem to be getting any higher, and this is partly due to my many cocktail nights, and buying a lot of little things, that don't seem like much at the time, but soon add up,

When I go into town I don't really think much about buying a magazine (£3), a Starbucks (coffee: £3, muffin/cake £2), and maybe a new lipstick (£10). Doesn't seem like much, but it adds up to about £18. And if I do that every week, which I tend to do, that can be about £72 a month. And thats not adding in any new clothes I buy, train fares to and from Belfast, taxi fares, drink prices, food... you see where I'm going with this?

#Instalife 002

Instalife
Top Row: On the train to Belfast | Treating myself to macarons | Photographs of myself and friends
Middle Row: All dressed up for the formal | Tea and slutty brownies | Me and Laura out for drinks
Bottom Row: Netflix and lunch | Walking my dog | Breakfast in bed

It's hard to believe the month of February is nearly over and that we will soon be in March. It is only 3 weeks until I turn 22, which is extremely scary, especially as most people would guess that I am only 17 or 18.

Review: The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Lotion and Perfume Oil

I have a bit of an obsession with products from The Body Shop. Over the past year or so, my collection has grown so big that in my 5 drawer unit that I have for body products, 4 drawers are dedicated to The Body Shop products, and I have had to ban myself from buying any more until I have used some up.

Tesco and TK Maxx Book Haul

I love reading but recently I've found that I haven't been reading as much as I used to. So when I was in Tesco a few weeks ago and discovered they had a lot of books on clearance I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pick up some new reading material. I actually bought 5 books from Tesco but I have left one in Belfast so it isn't pictured (I can't even remember the name). Three of the books where marked at £1, one of the books was £2 and the third was £4. However when I went to the tills to pay, four of the books where put through for 1p (yes... 1p!) and the last for £3.85! Which means I got five books for £3.89!!!! Talk about a bargain. So here are all of those books (plus 2 from TK Maxx).

Review: CoverGirl Clump Crusher LashBlast Mascara

Back in December, I received the CoverGirl Clump Crusher LashBlast Mascara from Shree as part of my gift for the Beauty Bloggers Secret Santa. I have been using this mascara pretty much ever day since about half way through January so I thought it was time I did a review on it!

My Final University Formal!

Last Wednesday I attended my final University formal with my friends. You might be wondering why I was attending a University Formal despite being graduated, but basically I might not be attending classes anymore, but I still attend a lot of the social events as my friends are all currently in their final year. So for today's post, I thought I would share some of my pictures from the Formal!

Just a quick note... all of these photos where taken on phones, so they aren't the best quality, but they still have captured the night, and are therefore good enough to be shared with all of you! Also this is going to be a picture-heavy post, so prepare yourselves!

Review: L'Oréal #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray

Lately I have been on a quest to find the best products to give me more volumized hair. I really wanted to try the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray but at £18 for only 75ml it is unfortunately out of my price range. So after reading reviews that mentioned the L'OrĂ©al #TXT Volume Supervising Spray as a dupe for the Oribe spray I knew I had to try it, especially as it was on offer for £3 at my local supermarket!

Pamper Night Essentials

Before I get into the post, apologies for being a bad blogger this past week! I started out last week with good intentions, but then got distracted by fun times (i.e partying and Belfast) and not so fun times (i.e. work). But I am back this week with lots of new posts and content to make up for it!

During the winter, I love to have regular pamper nights. I love them during the summer aswell ofcourse, but there's just something about having a relaxing night when it is cold and raining outside. So today I thought I would share a few of my favourite products for my pamper nights!

Review: Victoria's Secret Forbidden Vanilla Body Mist

My friend Laura was in America over New Years, and when she was there she bought me the Victoria's Secret Body Mist in 'Forbidden Vanilla' which is from the Midnight Exotics line. I was extremely happy as this is my first body mist from Victoria's Secret and I have been looking to try them for ages! So today I thought I would do a quick review of it!

Face of the Day #002

For some unknown reason, I spent quite a bit of time getting ready this morning. I don’t know why, as I am only going from my house, to the train, and then to my friends house in Belfast (where I basically live), where I will be removing all of my makeup so I can get ready for going out tonight. In order to ensure that this two hours of my day wasn't wasted (I could have got so much done in that time), I thought I would do a FOTD post! Now despite spending so long getting ready, my makeup is in no way spectacular, in fact it is pretty damn ordinary. But I thought I would share it anyway!

Fashion Focus: Formal/Prom Dresses

I have spent the past few weeks searching the internet for the perfect formal dress. I didn't look in the shops as I wanted to find a cheaper dress as I know I probably won't be wearing this dress again (I like to buy a new dress for each formal) and I knew that I had the best chance of finding one online. As I am sure I am not the only person who is looking for a formal dress, I thought I would share my favourite finds with you all.

Quick note... incase you are wondering, a Formal is the same thing as a Prom or Ball. We just call it a formal here in Northern Ireland!

ASOS (£150)

I love this dress from the ASOS Black collection. I think the design is extremely pretty, and has an almost gothic-meets-romantic feel. I think this dress would look gorgeous paired with a simple updo, and styled with black accessories. If I was to wear this dress I would definitely wear a pair of chandelier drop earrings and I would keep the makeup fairly simple with a nude lip! In fact I would probably style very similar to how the model has been styled.
