Review: Topshop Lip Bullet 'Joyride'

I have been meaning to try Topshop's lip products for quite a while now but I never got around to buying any. So when I found this mini Lip Bullet for only £2 in the sale I knew I couldn't pass it up!

My Current Loves... #002

Back at the start of November I posted my first Current Loves post (if you want you can check it out HERE) so it shows what a bad blogger I was that I am only putting my second post up now at the end of January. But better late than never right?

As I mentioned in my first post, I enjoy reading monthly favourites on other blogs and think it is fun to share what I am loving with you all! I'm not calling these posts Monthly Favourites, because as you may have noticed, I'm not always the best at posting when I mean to (though I have become a trillion times better this month) so by simple calling this series 'My Current Loves' it allows me to post without worrying about skipping a month. And besides... I don't change my favourites every single month, and I'm sure we can all agree that it is boring to see the same favourites mentioned time after time?

The Liebster Award

Hello everyone! So todays post will be the Liebster Award as I was recently nominated by the lovely Charlotte over at FierceFineFashion. For anyone who doesn't know what this is about, it is basically a way to promote bloggers who have 200 followers or less. It is a great way to get to know about these bloggers and helps to give them some recognition for all of the hard work that they put into their blogs! So thankyou to Charlotte for nominating me!

Review: Elegant Touch Rapid Dry

If there is one thing I hate about painting my nails, it was having to sit around and wait for them to dry. I'm not a very patient person, so having to wait for each layer to dry annoyed me which always resulted in me trying to do something and messing up my freshly painted nails. So when I heard about Elegant Touch Rapid Dry I knew I had to try it.

What's in my Bag

I'm sure I am not the only one who loves to see the contents of other peoples bags. There is something about seeing what everybody carries around in every day life that fascinates me as it says a lot about about a persons personality. So today I thought it would be fun to show you all what I carry around in my everyday life.

Black Tied Haul

I haven't bought a lot of jewellery lately, so when I found out about this jewellery company on twitter, I knew I had to buy a few things. Black Tied is a company based in Ireland, that makes affordable handmade jewellery. When I was browsing the site I saw so many items that I wanted to buy, but as I am trying to save money (emphasis on the try), I limited myself to purchasing 5 items!
The delivery was fairly quick (I ordered it on the 10th and it was with me on the 15th) which is something I always look for with online companies as I HATE having to wait too long for my purchases. Also, can I just take a minute to say how cute the packaging is? Like seriously the cutest packaging I have ever received from a company!

DIY: Framed Magazine Covers

So recently I have been trying to redecorate my room, but as I have a small budget, it hasn't been easy. I was searching through Pinterest one day, when I saw an image of framed magazine covers. I decided that this would be a perfect way to start redecorating my room, as I buy a lot of magazines, and when I see a great cover I hate to throw them out.

Revier: Lancome Gel Eclat Clarifying Cleanser

Back in December I bought some Lancome products for Christmas presents, and received a free gift with purchase. One of the many items in this free gift, was a 125ml tube of Lancome Gel Eclat Clarifying Cleanser. This is the first Lancome skin care product that I had ever tried, so I was interested to see whether or not I would like it.

Clothing and Beauty Haul

I have done a little bit of shopping over the last weeks in the sales and I thought that I would share it with you all! I didn't buy too much this year because I am somehow broke again (seriously have no idea where my money goes) and because I didn't actually think the sales where all that good this year. I did manage to get a few items however, so here they are!

I got this black knitted dress from Mango for £17. I have actually had my eye on this dress since it first went into stores, and almost bought the black and white striped version a few months ago so I'm glad I waited!

Tag: 30 Beauty Questions

I was recently searching the internet for different beauty-related tags when I came across this one, which is the 30 Beauty Questions tag. So without further ado, here is the tag!

1. How many times do you wash your face daily?
I wash my face twice, once in the morning and once at night! Though I will admit at times I am lazy and only use a face wipe at night.

2. What skin type do you have?
I have combination skin- normal everywhere apart from my t-zone where it is EXTREMELY oily.

3. What is your current facial wash?
Lancome Gel Eclat Foaming Cleanser.

4. Do you exfoliate?
Yes, I use the Soap and Glory Greatest Scrub of All, but I really want to try a new exfoliator.

My Top 5 Lipsticks

I was reorganising my lipstick drawer the other day, and I thought it would be a great idea to share my 5 favourite lipsticks with you! I love lipsticks; I wear them almost every day and they are my favourite makeup item to buy. Read on for descriptions and swatches.
L-R: Kate Moss for Rimmel 05 │ Chanel Rouge Allure Palpitante │ Avon Pout │ M.A.C Ravishing │ Kate Moss for Rimmel 01
01. Kate Moss for Rimmel '05': This is a gorgeous fuchsia pink that is suitable for both day and night as it isn't too bright. It's also rather moisturising on the lips so you don't have to worry about it drying out your lips!

02. Chanel Rouge Allure 'Palpitante': This would probably be my favourite lipstick out of them all. It is a red with pinky tones so it would be a good choice for those who want to try red lipstick but are afraid to go for a classic bright red. It is very pigmented and lasts well throughout the day. Plus... the packaging is gorgeous.

03. Avon Ultra Colour Lipstick 'Pout': A lovely nude pink that I always pair with a smokey eye. Its very moisturising however it doesn't last very long- you have to reapply every hour or so.

04. M.A.C 'Ravishing': A lovely sheer coral with a slight peachy hint. Due to it being sheer, it works all year round and works better during the day than at night (unless of course you prefer sheer lipsticks for night time looks).

05. Kate Moss for Rimmel '01': This is the lipstick I reach for when I want a proper deep red. It is quite dark so I only ever use this for a night out or a special occasion! It is extremely drying on your lips, so you should always apply a lip balm before!

Tag: Get to Know Me!

L-R: Rosie, Laura, myself!
First of all I want to say hello to all of my new readers! I have seen an increase in my views and blogloving/twitter followers, so I just wanted to take a minute to say hello! As I have been getting new followers, I thought I should do the 'Get to Know Me' tag, so (as the title suggests) you can get to know me better! I'm pretty sure I haven't really told you anything about myself since my very first blog post which was back in September,so I hope you enjoy this!

1. Do you have a middle name? Yes, my middle name is Rebecca. There's no meaning behind the same, in the same way there is no meaning behind my first name!

2. What was your favourite subject in school? I always enjoyed ICT, but then that could have more to do with the fact we rarely did work. In terms of what actual subject I enjoyed working at, then I loved A-Level RE. Ours was all about ethics and morality and it was just so interesting.

3. What's your favourite drink? Non-alcoholic: Tea. Alcoholic: Gin and tonic.

4. What's your favourite song at the moment? I'm really loving Girls- 1975. Also I'm loving Of the Night- Bastille.

5. What would you name your children? For a boy I love Liam. I'm not too sure about girls, there are so many names that I like and I couldn't choose just one.

6. Do you participate in any sports? No sports. I used to take part in cross-country running but I haven't took part in any sports for years.

7. What's your favourite book? Hmm this is a tough one. I have always loved the Harry Potter series, but if I was to choose just one book, then Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

8. What's your favourite colour? Pink.

Review: John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Ahead Shampoo and Conditioner

I've been on the search for the perfect shampoo and conditioner for quite a while now. I have long hair that goes just past my chest. It isn't very thick but I do have a lot of it. In its natural state it is very curly and my hair hair concern is frizz so whenever I buy hair products I look for products that claim to help with this. I have always heard good things about John Frieda products so when I last needed a shampoo and conditioner I thought I would buy from their frizz-ease line. I chose these straight-ahead version as I mostly like to wear my hair straight rather than curly.

How I'm getting Organised, Motivated and Positive!

I started my blog in 2013 and while I have loved running it and writing about my interests (i.e beauty and fashion) you might have noticed that I wasn't always the most motivated. Last year (that seems so weird to say) I didn't invest enough of my time into my blog, which is something I want to change in 2014! So I am going to have to work on becoming more organised and motivated, so I thought I would share with you how I will be doing this!

Debenhams Christmas Lookbook Competition

I recently heard of a competition that Debenhams is running in collaboration with Victoria from Vipxo and Natasha from Girl in the Lens. The competition involves creating two different outfits, one based around 'Winter Warmer' and the other being a party look. The winner of the competition wins £500 in vouchers, and the two runner ups receive a £50 voucher. As I've already mentioned all you have to do is put together two outfits. The budget for each outfit is £250 and you have to include links and prices on your post. If you want to find out more you can check out Victoria's and Natasha's sites, or you can go to the post on the Debenhams blog Here.

What I got for Christmas

So originally I wasn't going to do this post, hence why it so late up. However after becoming addicted to reading everybody else's posts, I changed my mind and decided to post my own! This year I didn't ask for anything for Christmas, so I had no clue what I was getting. Also my whole family decided that we where having a low-key Christmas so we didn't go crazy with presents! Also as a quick disclaimer... I am in no way bragging in this post. I am extremely grateful for all of the presents I received and just thought it would be nice to share some of the things I received with you all.
Colgate Proclinical C600: I've been looking to get an electrical toothbrush for ages so I was very happy to open this!

A New Year, A New Start

It's strange to think that we are already in 2014. It doesn't feel like it has been over a year since I saw in 2013 with my best friend, and I feel I've only really got used to writing 2013 on paperwork. I originally wanted to have this post up for New Years day, however I recently received some very sad and tragic news that made me rethink all of my New Year resolutions and thoughts. I won't go into the news, however I will say that it reminded me that life really is too short to just sit around and wait for something to happen. If I want something exciting to happen in my life then I have to go after it, as otherwise I could let my whole life pass by without ever experiencing the excitement I want. So I thought I would share some of resolutions and goals for 2014 with all of you.

Secret Santa Gifts!

So back in November I chose to take part in a Blogger Secret Santa that was organised by Gemma at Miss Makeup Magpie and Laura at Tease Flutter Pout. Firstly I want to say a HUGE thank-you to these girls for organising this. I'm sure it wasn't easy and it must have been such hard work to sort everything out, and you did a great job!

We where all given the choice over wether we wanted a secret swap, a UK-UK non-secret swap or an international swap. I didn't have to think about it too much and knew straight away that I wanted an international swap as I loved the idea of trying new products that weren't available here in the UK.

I was paired with the lovely Shree from Porcelain Shree and after swapping a few emails discussing what we would like, we sent each other our presents!
